Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a major cause of chronic morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Definition of COPD. COPD is a disease state characterized by airflow limitation that is not fully reversible. The airflow limitation is usually both progressive and associated with an abnormal inflammatory response of the lungs to noxious particles or gases.

Aspiration is a condition, accompanying a plenty of severe diseases. Its risk is high in the patients who are unconscious due to shock, coma… That is why the transportation of unconscious patients requires a certain position. The patient should be laid down on the left side to prevent possible aspiration. Lung abscess  is defined as necrosis of the pulmonary tissue and formation of cavities containing necrotic debris or fluid caused by microbial infection. The principal sign of the abscess is localized (by capsule) lung tissue necrosis.

H. pylori are gram-negative rods that have the ability to colonize and infect the stomach. The bacteria survive within the mucous layer that covers the gastric surface epithelium.

1. Helicobacter gastritis is a primary infection of the stomach and is the most frequent cause of chronic gastrointestinal pathology. The synonyms of H. pylori-associated chronic gastritis are: type B gastritis, hypersecretory gastritis.

Patients with advanced stage of COPD typically have symptoms of both chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

The destruction in emphysema results in not only alveolar septae but also the pulmonary capillary bed, leading to decreased ability to oxygenate blood. Thе result is a poorly ventilated lung, leading to hypoxemia. Eventually, hypercapnia and respiratory acidosis develop, leading to pulmonary artery vasoconstriction and cor pulmonale.
